The Law Association of T&T (LATT) has sent condolences to the family of former independent senator Allan Joseph Alexander.
In a press release yesterday, president of the association Reginald Armour the LATT was deeply saddened by the death of Alexander, SC, and saluted him as a true national hero.
He described Alexander as “first and always a patriot.”
“He was eminence personified. His contribution to the enrichment of the Rule of Law in T&T and the wider Caribbean, including his considerable body of work as the foremost constitutional and labour lawyer of his time, his perennial and exacting search for justice and for the improvement of the human condition of the ordinary man and woman transcended beyond what most eminent attorneys are justifiably applauded for integrity, a deep passion to develop the region and the fearless pursuit of justice defined this former independent senator,” Armour wrote in the release.
