Relatives of Heather Barriteau are praying for her safe return, following her disappearance last Friday after last seen drinking a beer with a man at a bar on Mucurapo Street, San Fernando.

Police are looking for the man whom they believe can assist them in their investigations.

Barriteau’s worried husband, Devon Paul, said he feared that someone may have spiked his wife’s drink and taken her against her will, because she was not the kind of person to leave without informing someone of her whereabouts.

Paul said he has been having sleepless nights, thinking the worse while praying for the best outcome, especially after the gruesome find of Republic Bank worker Shannon Banfield’s body at IAM retail outlet, Port-of-Spain, four days after she went missing.

“I am thinking that someone may have put something in her drink and taken her against her will. That she may be tied up somewhere and cannot contact us,” he said in an interview yesterday.

Paul recalled that around 11 am on Friday, Barriteau, 35, a vendor at the Brighton AC School, La Brea, left her Sobo Village, La Brea home destined for San Fernando, to purchase an item to make chicken ham for Christmas.

Anyone with information is asked to call Paul at t 291-3470 or the nearest police station.
